On the steep terraces of the Amalfi Coast in Italy, a special variety of lemons – Sfusato Amalfitano – has been cultivated for centuries. These lemons are known for their intense aroma and are considered a symbol of the region. Already in the Middle Ages, they were traded throughout the Mediterranean and were even used by sailors as a natural source of vitamin C during long voyages.

The yellow fruit gradually became an emblem of Amalfi. It is a symbol of sunshine, fertility, and life. In local culture, the lemon is not just a fruit, but a part of everyday life: in gardens, in markets, and in the famous limoncello.
